description

pine buds and young shoots are usually harvested from March to May. Pine buds are rich in vitamin C, tannins (they have anti-inflammatory, anti-hemorrhagic and disinfecting properties), bitterness (promotes the secretion of gastric juice and increases appetite), resin acids, phenolic compounds (antioxidants), mineral salts, sugars and other biologically active ingredients. The compound that distinguishes them from other medicinal plants is the essential oil, which includes pinene.

In herbal medicine, pine buds are mainly used in:

  • A runny nose and inflammation of the upper respiratory tract act as expectorants, thanks to which you can quickly and effectively get rid of a persistent cough.
  • The situation is similar in the case of herbaceous plants or plants, which are similar in size.
  • They also have antipyretic and diaphoretic properties, have a warming effect, therefore they are recommended for rheumatic fever and other pain conditions.

They can also be used for inhalations that effectively cleanse the respiratory tract in the event of a cold or flu. The abundance of medicinal substances found in pine buds also has a cleansing, antibacterial, antidiarrhoeal, antispasmodic, choleretic, disinfecting and diuretic effect. Few plants can be used equally often.
